MARSH & McLENNAN COMPANIES

Culture

Inclusion, diversity and belonging are at the heart of how we work together

It starts with belonging
The most important thing we can do as an organization is to create a culture where everyone feels welcomed, and that their ideas belong. A sense of belonging is an aspiration that we can all share. To belong at Marsh McLennan means each of us can be ourselves in any role and see our individual contributions in the work we do together. Together, we create a culture of belonging in the ways we show up, big and small, every day. Learn more about our featured initiatives below.
Social Impact

At Marsh McLennan, we empower colleagues to give back in meaningful ways through volunteering, giving programs, and nonprofit partnerships. This helps address global issues while supporting local communities, allowing our colleagues to actively help clients and communities thrive.

More voices from our colleagues 2022

Marsh McLennan @ Dive In 2022

We’re proud to support Dive In, the annual festival for diversity, equity and inclusion in insurance. Now in its eighth year, the festival is set to be the biggest yet, with more than 150 events taking place across 40 countries from September 27-29. The aim of this year's theme - Building Braver Cultures - is to empower the industry to build environments where people feel safe, valued, respected and free to express themselves.

Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month 2022

The theme for this year's Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month reinforces the imperative of welcoming diverse voices and perspectives into decision-making processes. While this monthlong observation is primarily recognized in the US and Canada, Marsh McLennan celebrates the successes and stories of all our Hispanic and Latinx colleagues globally and reaffirms our broader commitment to inclusion and diversity.

Pride Month 2022

Pride Month and its activities honoring the pivotal 1969 Stonewall Uprising in Manhattan provide an opportunity every June for both celebration and reflection. It's the perfect time to show our support for colleagues who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or another sexual orientation or gender identity. It's also important to consider what tangible actions we can take to continue our support all year long.
