Daniel Gettings is Practice Leader for the Latin America and Caribbean region of Marsh’s Private Equity and M&A and Infrastructure practice, a dedicated group supporting financial sponsors (venture capital, private equity, infrastructure funds); strategic investors; and M&A advisors (law firms, investment banks, and accounting firms).
Dan leads a team of 10+ professionals across the region performing insurance and risk management due diligence; designing and implementing property & casualty and employee benefit insurance procurement strategies for portfolio companies and assets; and developing insurance solutions for M&A, private equity and infrastructure transactions globally.
He was formerly, the strategy leader for Marsh and McLennan Companies in Brazil, managing client management across the group’s operating companies including building new solutions and corporate development (M&A).
Prior to moving to Sao Paulo, Dan was as an Associate Partner in Oliver Wyman's Manufacturing, Transportation, and Energy practice and acted New York Office Head. He has worked with 10+ Fortune 500 companies over 12 years on process reengineering, organizational excellence, growth strategy, supply chain strategy and cost reduction assignments in both North American and Europe. Since 2008, Dan has been focused work with financial sponsors and their investments in these sectors.
