David is a Principal Consultant in Mercer’s Career Business located in Atlanta. He assists clients in financial services, retail and manufacturing on a variety of topics including total rewards strategy and employee engagement. His experience includes developing career frameworks for global organizations, business restructuring and transformation, competitive compensation assessments, benefits effectiveness, and organization process optimization.
A few of David’s projects include: creating a career framework and market pricing for a public financial asset management organization; analyzing market pricing and pay equity for a private financial asset management firm; being an expert witness testimony for a national energy company; and completing wage analysis and competitiveness benchmarking for multiple retailers.
Prior to joining Mercer, David served in various corporate roles including Director of Global Compensation / Benefits / Global Mobility for a multinational omni-channel retailer and, most recently, was the Rewards and Mobility Leader for a global chemical manufacturer.
David is a WorldAtWork member, with designations of Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) and Global Remuneration Professional (GRP). At Mercer, David contributes to the retail industry group, and is a nationally recognized ALPFA volunteer.
David holds a Master’s in Contemporary European Studies from the Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, Spain through the Trans-Atlantic Masters (TAM) program at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill (UNC). At UNC, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies (Double Major for International Economics & Political Science and Spanish). Originally from Charlotte, David is native bilingual in English and Spanish.
