In his role as partner in the Retail & Consumer Goods practice and with Oliver Wyman Labs, Duncan gets to tackle the most interesting and challenging business problems. These include the types of problems a ‘playbook’ can’t always solve – solutions that must be developed from first principles and be highly innovative if they are to succeed for customers.
Duncan strives to cut through his clients' natural inertia, delivering solutions that are sensible and pragmatic for their culture, ability and level of organisation. Duncan helps companies move away from “intuition and gut feel” towards a culture driven on data, facts, and reality.
As the partner responsible for junior consultants in our London office, Duncan aims to help all consultants be the best they can be. Duncan is also a mentor for the 30% Club programme, which offers cross-sector mentoring to high-potential female colleagues.
When I was a junior consultant, a senior partner told me I had the potential to become a partner here. That was the first time I realised I could build a long-term career at Oliver Wyman, and it demonstrates that it is always worth investing in people.
